It was more than a surprise, it was shock. Find someone saying that writing is above all, an act of courage... Courage to expose yourself, to take chances. To look inside ourselves and find one another, because we don't exist without this relationship. Writing is a form that can't be said. It shows what we don't want for ourselves, most of the time, and give it as a gift to the reader as something ugly and dirty, something we give without expecting anything in return. Writing is not letting the weight fall on our shoulders, because the real writer is the one who uses the words to show yourself and to expose what the reader would never have the courage to say.
